The weakest and most delicate jewelry should be taken care of the most. A maintaining method that is usually meant for stones which is less durable can be used for other gemstones. Here are some tips to help you keep your gold, diamond, and silver jewelry shining.     1. Gold jewelry 1). Wash them accurately and check if there is scratched. Due to use of hair styling products, oil or hand lotions, a film of dust and dirt sets on gold and because of this they don't sparkle. If you don't clean them, these materials can get accumulated in a thick layer of gunk, usually found on the back of gold jewelry.     2). Beware of chemicals. Gold’s worst enemy is chlorine. Repeated exposure can weaken gold’s structure, eventually leading to breakage. So keep your gold jewelry away from chlorinated cleaning products and out of swimming pools and bathtub.     3). Always inspect your gold jewelry for weakness or damage and bring it to a professional jeweler you trust for immediate repair. Pay particular attention to clasps (to ensure they catch easily but are still secure); prongs (to ensure they haven’t cracked, bent or loosened, which could cause the stone to fall out); bracelet and neck chain links (to ensure they don’t kink or bend); pin backs and earring posts (to see if they are bent or loose); and wedding bands, pendants and charms (dangling pieces and items worn every day for a long period of time) are subject to wear and can thin out and eventually break.   2. Diamonds jewelry        1). Wash it with gentle liquid detergent, because it is easy to be fracture filled. Water solution or ammonia solution can be used for diamonds. Another useful way is use vodka. Put your diamonds into the glass of vodka and than dry those in soft textile. If there are other stones besides diamonds, then you need to be extra careful.      2). Clean Silver regularly with mild sudsy (phosphate free) or plain water, rinse really well, and pat dry with a non-scratching cloth. Polish gently with a jewelry polishing cloth. Do not use tissue or paper towels as they can scratch silver.     2) The best way to maintain your Silver Jewelry is to keep it in a tarnish-proof cloth pouch, air-tight jewelry box or a zip lock plastic bag, in order to keep air and dust off and to keep it out of direct sunlight. The sun may fade gemstones.     3) .Do not store jewelry next to a heating vent, window sill, on wood surfaces or in the car. Also, do not store your silver with other metals, or rubber as these too cause tarnish and damage.     4) .Never use anything but clean 100% cotton or a special silver cleaning cloth.     5) .Avoid Ammonia based cleaners as they will eventually eat away the finish.     6) .To polish sliver with intricate etching and deep crevices, you may use a soft-bristled toothbrush. Wet the bristles with warm water first to soften the bristles further. On the other hand, you may wish to leave a bit of tarnish in the crevices to bring out design.     7) Avoid wearing sliver jewelry in swimming pools. The chlorine can damage the sliver in a short time.    8) .
